Bilingual Parent Navigator

Salary: $42 per hour

Part-time, temporary, 5 - 15 hours /week

Teniel Sabin Training and Consulting (Crece Conmigo) is seeking applicants interested in working with the Latino community, with a focus on supporting families in King County. The Parent Navigator will focus on providing informative presentations about the dangers of lead, alternative products, and support parents in seeking blood lead testing. We are specifically seeking applicants with the following characteristics, as we believe these reflect the community we intend to serve and we want to serve these families in a culturally appropriate and responsive way. Applicants must live in the Seattle area.

▪︎ Bilingual Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)

▪︎ Computer skills in Word, Excel, Zoom, Social Media, Microsoft Teams

▪︎ Someone who values community connections as a resource of support.

• Experience in community outreach, specifically with parents of young children

▪︎ Comfortable interacting and networking with Community Partners

▪︎ Public speaking and presentation skills, online and in-person.

▪︎A willingness to learn, grow, explore with our team to promote a healthy community for all.

▪︎ Organized, dependable and enthusiastic

Part-time position, with flexible schedule. The options will be explored with candidates to find the best fit for the availability of applicants and the needs of the program. In person and zoom presentations will be required, the majority of the work can be performed remotely.
